Biography

I am a Research Coordinator at the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute, where I work with Drs. Julie Bettinger and Hana Mitchell. My broad research interest lies in using qualitative methodologies to explore how people acquire and produce information in their everyday lives. I completed my Ph.D. and MLIS in Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, advised by Dr. Melissa Ocepek.

My research embraces cultural studies and visual arts, taking an interdisciplinary approach to uncover the overlooked creativity in daily life. My doctoral dissertation was awarded the 2021 Eugene Garfield Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship from the Beta Phi Mu Honor Society. My work has been published across different venues, primarily in Information Science and Learning Sciences, such as iConference, ASIS&T, Connected Learning Summit, and ISLS.

In my spare time, I enjoy daydreaming, reading, visiting libraries, spending quality time with my family, and exploring the world of anime and manga. Also, I have a keen interest in learning new languages!
